Luisa Montes Senior Communications Officer Contact Luisa Luisa joined the Irvine Foundation as a Communications Officer in December 2021 and became a Senior Communications Officer in October 2024. She brings more than a decade of experience in strategic communications around issues of economic mobility, homelessness, youth development, and early childhood education. Previously, Luisa worked on narrative change and community engagement campaigns with Tipping Point Community to end and prevent poverty in the Bay Area. She has also worked with the YMCA of San Diego County, focusing on storytelling, resource development, and grant writing for social service programs for underserved families. In that role, she developed strategies to highlight the impact of YMCA programs among funders, policymakers, and community partners. Raised in the Bay Area, Luisa has a bachelor’s degree in Communication and International Relations from the University of Southern California and a Master in Public Administration from California State University, Northridge.
