Assessing progress. Learning and adjusting. Enhancing impact.

Impact Assessment and Learning is the process we use to assess our progress against our goals, learn, and use that learning to inform and adjust our work.

We do so to improve our work, increase our impact, and share knowledge with our colleagues and the field, specifically to:

• Guide our strategy and grantmaking
• Support us in being accountable and transparent
• Enhance field impact, as relevant

This requires us to collect, synthesize, and reflect on various quantitative and qualitative information on a regular basis: pre-grant due diligence, grant monitoring, grantee site visits, grantee-funder convenings, targeted research, evaluation, community listening sessions, and grantee perception surveys.
