Alex Chan Director of Program Development Contact Alex Alex joined the Irvine Foundation as the Director of Program Development in March 2022. Throughout his career, Alex has focused on community-driven and community-informed initiatives and has led social impact programs in both the public and non-profit sectors. Prior to Irvine, he served as the Strategic Initiatives Director at Tipping Point Community, where he developed and launched new programs and funding initiatives, including a five-year initiative focused on supporting older foster youth and a long-term campaign to change narratives around individuals and families experiencing poverty. Alex also previously managed the Clinton Foundation’s domestic health initiative, where he oversaw a program portfolio focused on building the capacity of community organizations through collective impact and mobilization. Earlier in his career, Alex held management positions in local government and was a consultant for a financial management firm.
