To support the creation of community engaged journalism on economic security and advancement, and expand audiences in communities traditional underserved by public media.

To support The California Divide, a statewide journalism collaboration to assess and document income inequality and explore potential solutions.

Capital Public Radio Inc. – 2019

To support The View from Here, a model of deeper reporting based on long-term community engagement for personal, informative storytelling grounded in a sense of place.

NALEO Educational Fund – 2018

To expand coverage of socioeconomic issues and support content sharing between select Spanish-language newspapers.

The Commonwealth Club of California – 2018

To develop and produce a three-part series of programs held in Silicon Valley and San Francisco that engage the public and community partners in a civic discussion focused on California workforce issues.

YR Media – 2018

To develop Young California, a program that trains low-income youth how to produce journalism and other media content from and about youth perspectives regarding economic inequality.
