To support low-income journalists to produce stories that increase awareness of and empathy for low-income Californians, through an entity such as the Economic Hardship Reporting Project.

KQED, Inc. – 2020

To support the California Report’s statewide coverage of issues facing low-income Californians.

Sacramento Region Community Foundation – 2020

To create a beat reporter to cover policy and other issues related to low-wage workers from the state capital, through an entity such as the McClatchy Journalism Institute.

Capital & Main – 2020

To support Capital & Main’s coverage of economic inequality in California.

CalMatters – 2019

To expand coverage of socioeconomic issues and support content sharing between select Spanish-language newspapers, through an entity such as Media in Color.
