Our 2025 Annual Review summarizes our work and grantmaking in 2024, and looks at the needs and experiences of Californians working in low-wage industries. It also outlines our approach to grantmaking, the progress and learning of our initiatives (Better Careers, Fair Work, Just Prosperity, and Priority Communities).
Fewer than seven in 10 California households earn enough to afford the real cost of living in California. Those with higher incomes tend to report greater access to benefits and opportunities for advancement, as do full-time workers as compared to part-time workers.
