Miriam Mendoza Moody

Executive Assistant

Miriam Mendoza Moody joined Irvine in March 2020. She is an Executive Assistant, supporting portfolio-specific work for program development at The James Irvine Foundation.

Miriam has extensive experience working in academia and nonprofits. She’s served as an Executive Assistant, a Board Liaison, and an Advisor to CEOs, Founders, and Development Officers at organizations like the Exploratorium, Southern Oregon University, MyDigitalTat2.org, GLIDE, and the Nature Conservancy.

A San Francisco native, Miriam received her bachelor’s in Broadcast Communications Arts from San Francisco State University and a Masters in Nonprofit Administration from the University of San Francisco. Her broadcast experience includes working as a Newswriter, Producer, Host, and Technical Director in both English and Spanish language television stations. Miriam is fluent in Spanish.

Miriam is proud to be a first-generation Californian. She is also proud to use her expertise to advance the Foundation’s mission to create a California where low-income workers have the power to advance economically.
