Krishna Thaker Investment Associate Krishna Thaker joined the Foundation as an Investment Associate in August 2019. Prior to Irvine, Krishna worked as an Associate at KPMG’s Transaction Services group in Chicago, where she provided buy-side financial due diligence support for numerous private equity and corporate clients. Krishna graduated with high honors in Finance and Accountancy from the University of Illinois—Urbana Champaign and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Illinois. During her time at Illinois, she was actively involved in mentoring and tutoring peers while leading a team of 35 peer advisors. She developed and executed pilot programs for 500+ incoming freshmen which helped students transition smoothly to college life. Krishna is passionate about volunteering and giving back to communities. Every tax season she volunteers to prepare tax returns for low-income individuals and families, including providing them tips about potential tax credits, personal finance management, budgeting, etc. She is also involved with other nonprofits such as the Rotary International, Children’s Outreach and Vocational Education (COVE) Uganda, Women Empowerment Network Design (WEND) Africa, and various mentoring groups for at-risk youth. Krishna enjoys reading, teaching, learning languages, hiking, travel, and photography.
