Fontane Lo

Senior Impact Assessment and Learning Officer

Fontane Lo joined the Foundation as Senior Impact Assessment and Learning Officer in April 2018. She has more than 10 years of social impact experience supporting research and learning for community-based organizations, foundations, and public agencies in California and across the country. Prior to joining Irvine, Fontane worked at Harder+Company Community Research, a California-based consulting firm. Her work there focused on the use of data to inform strategic learning, particularly regarding systems and policy change. Fontane believes in the power of collaboration and of community voice — core tenets that continue to inform her work at the Foundation.

Prior to Harder+Company, Fontane held roles at the Public Policy Institute of California, REDF, and the Human Services Agency at the City and County of San Francisco. A San Francisco native, Fontane earned degrees in psychology and economics from the University of California, Berkeley. She also holds a Master of Public Policy from the Goldman School of Public Policy at the University of California, Berkeley.
