I'm pleased to announce the release of Organizing for Success: California's Regional Education Partnerships by EdInsights (formerly IHELP), co-funded by The James Irvine Foundation and the College Futures Foundation. This report documents lessons from regional partnerships across California and emphasizes the need for supportive state policies.
Last year, the Youth program began the work to evolve the Linked Learning approach from a focus on school districts to one that enhances regional partnerships in support of both pathway expansion and alignment between high-schools, postsecondary institutions and employers in service of student success.
The work of college and career readiness, and ultimately completion, cannot be met by one system alone. This report highlights critical early insights into the work of regional cross-sector collaborations organized around college and career readiness and completion. This is difficult but necessary work that will ultimately catalyze systemic change in how we ready our students and support their transitions from high-school to postsecondary institutions.
