Larry Vales Director of Talent Contact Larry Larry Vales was appointed Director of Talent in April 2016. He previously served as Manager, Talent Strategies and Human Resources since joining Irvine in 2014. At Irvine, Larry is responsible for leading the talent strategy for the Foundation and upholding the mission and values of Irvine in a way that supports and develops its staff. His duties also include the administration of human resources policies, procedures, and planning. Prior to joining Irvine, Larry served as the Manager of Recruitment and Staffing for the State of North Carolina and previously served as Human Resources Director for North Carolina’s Department of State Treasurer. Born and raised in California, Larry has served various talent management and human resources roles in the not-for-profit, government, and investment banking sectors. Larry holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from San Diego State University and advanced certifications from the Society of Human Resource Management and Duke University.
