Following is the 2008 timeline for The James Irvine Foundation Leadership Awards:
January 22, 2008 |
Nominations — both online and mailed submissions — are due to the Foundation's San Francisco office by 5:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time. |
March 2008 |
With the support of Foundation program staff, the Selection Committee meets to discuss the nomination pool and select a set of finalists. |
Late March 2008 |
Each nominator is informed whether or not his or her nominee has advanced to the finalist round. |
March to April 2008 |
Irvine program staff and an expert in each finalist's field of work meet with finalists individually to understand further each person's work and its impact on California. |
Late May 2008 |
The Selection Committee meets to review reports of the site visits, to deliberate, and to select four to six award recipients. |
July 2008 |
2008 award recipients are publicly announced. |
