Executive Director and Founder, Orange County Asian and Pacific Islander Community Alliance

Mary Anne Foo is the Executive Director and Founder of the Orange County Asian and Pacific Islander Community Alliance, a nonprofit community-based organization that works to expand opportunities for Southern California's Asian and Pacific Islander communities through service, education, advocacy, organizing and research.

Foo has been working for more than 20 years on immigrant and refugee community issues at the national, state and local levels through various community and county-wide organizations. Foo is a principal investigator on several community-based participatory research projects, including the National Center of Excellence to Eliminate Disparities in Health project focused on Pacific Islanders and Southeast Asians in the United States, a California Breast Cancer Research Project focused on patient navigation for Southeast Asians, and a Pacific Islander cancer project funded by the National Cancer Institute.

Foo received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of California, Davis and her Master in Public Health from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Public Health.
